Attendance Policies

Are masks required?

Masks are not required at Yale Repertory Theatre. Of course, audience members who wish to mask up during their attendance are welcome to do so.

Are there age restrictions for your plays?

Please check with our Audience Services staff as to the age appropriateness of Yale Rep productions. Everyone entering the theatre must have a ticket. No babies in arms will be admitted.

What is your late seating policy?

Yale Rep makes every effort to begin performances on time. For the safety of our patrons and performers, latecomers will be seated at the discretion of the theatre.

What is your policy for photography, live stream or taking videos?

The taking of photographs, live streaming or the use of recording devices of any kind during the performance without written permission is prohibited.

Ticket Policies

How does your waitlist work?

On the day of a sold-out performance, a waitlist will be available at the venue one hour prior to the performance. You must sign up for the waitlist in person. Tickets that become available will be distributed to those on the waitlist beginning 20 minutes prior to the start of the performance. Tickets are frequently available via the waitlist, but the box office is not able to guarantee ticket availability via the waitlist in advance.

What should I do if I have lost my ticket?

Lost tickets can be reprinted and held for pickup at the Box Office. A photo ID will be required at the time of pickup.

Can I exchange my tickets to another performance?

Yale Rep Subscribers and Pass Holders enjoy unlimited complimentary ticket exchanges at least 24 hours prior to your performance. Though Yale Rep will attempt to match seats if requested, exchanges are subject to availability. Upgrade charges will apply if the price of the desired performance is higher than the originally chosen performance. Tickets will be held at the Box Office for pickup during regular business hours or prior to the new performance. Patrons should pick up tickets at least 30 minutes prior to curtain time.

Do you offer discounts for groups?

Groups of 10 or more receive a discount off the regular ticket price!

Are there discounts for students?

Yale Rep offers substantially discounted tickets for full-time university, college, and high school students who provide valid proof of their current student status. These tickets can be purchased by calling 203.432.1234. Student Tickets are available online for current Yale students only and require a valid Net ID at login.

Do you offer group rates for school groups?

Parties of 10 or more attending the same performance qualify for group rates. A 25% non-refundable deposit is requested to secure your seats. Full payment and any order changes are due four weeks prior to the performance date.
